Billing Supervisor
Job Description
This position will supervise up to eight Project Accounting Specialists that generate monthly project reports, and work with project management to generate highly detailed, client-specific invoices. You will also be responsible for resolving issues associated with project accounting, client requests, and project management as well as creating and implementing procedures associated with the Project accounting.
Duties and responsibilities
- Reconcile billings with AR ledger
- Proactive identification of simplification / automation opportunities
- Utilization of metrics to improve performance
- Have the ability to train effectively and cater to individual training needs
- Billing Metrics Database
- Proactively manage and ensure compliance with control objectives
- Support of internal and external auditors
Qualifications
- Accounting/Finance Undergraduate degree or equivalent accounting experience
- Experience with Oracle a must
- Strong organization and supervisory skills
- Solid attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information
- At least two years of supervisory experience in a similar role
- Previous accounting software implementation experience a plus, but not required
- Excellent MS Suite skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and Access
- Familiarity with XML
- Experience with Six Sigma a plus
- Proven analytical skills
- Ability to present , communicate initiatives, results, and analyses to multiple levels of management
