Bookkeeper

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or its equivalent, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  2. Four year’s bookkeeping experience.
  3. Ability to maintain computerized bookkeeping records; MAS90 experience preferred.
  4. Knowledge and practical experience regarding basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  5. Ability to work independently and make decisions in accordance with established policies and regulations.
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Works well with others, team player.

Reports To:   CEO

Job Goals:  To ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the accounting data and provide senior management with the financial information required to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Accounts Payable
    1. Record vendor invoices into the accounting system
    2. Process disbursements
    3. Resolve vendor discrepancies
  2. Accounts Receivable
    1. Process customer returns
    2. Issue customer credits
  3. Cash Management
    1. Prepare bank reconciliation
    2. Assist in cash flow management including cash requirements
  4. General Ledger
    1. Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a weekly basis – including but not limited to cash, accounts receivable, inventory, accounts payable and purchases clearing; research and resolve discrepancies
    2. Review postings to the GL for accuracy and timeliness
    3. Prepare monthly and on-demand financial statements for senior management

Terms:

  1. Full Time
  2. Eight hours per day
  3. Non-exempt status
