Accounting Job Descriptions

Overview: Accountant with strong analytical abilities to assist the controller with audits and projects in support of Global operations.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of and periodic update of Corporate Profitability analysis relating to mutual funds and separate client investment accounts. Monthly update of global transfer pricing analysis and other financial operation analysis used in month-end close process.
• Preparation of monthly cash flow forecast for North America operations.
• Understand CODA (accounting software) account structure and monthly Fx revaluation process.
• Preparation of certain internal management information reports, including but not limited to, client asset breakdowns, various revenue analysis, variance analysis between accounts and a comparison of prior month/budget/projection analysis with variance explanations.
• Coordinate via Corporate Finance group various audits (quarterly financial audits, SOX audits, and other company audits) and approval process from Parent company.
• Assist in preparing information reports to meet ad-hoc management requests as well as other regulatory agency or survey information requests as required.
• Assist as required with month-end close process in the form of assisting with financial analysis, client revenue run rate listing and other surveys/projects as required.

Competencies

• Solid background in the use of computers specific to accounting systems/modules
• Be able to liaise accordingly with international affiliates as necessary
• Proven experience in the preparation of accounts through the general ledger, both on consolidated and individual company basis
• Ability to provide solutions to accounting problems
• Be very detail oriented
• Knowledge of investment management industry strongly desired
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Superior Microsoft Excel Skill
